Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes – Oscar Wilde
Welcome & thanks for stopping by!
I am a Neuroscientist-turned-Science Communicator with a passion for Science Policies & – Politics.
This is not an ongoing blog but a collection of all my freelance articles and is updated regularly.
I received my PhD from the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry in conjunction with the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, Germany. My thesis work focused on disease-related molecular, structural, and behavioral changes regarding learning and memory.
Subsequently, I went to New York City as a postdoctoral researcher at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During my tenure there I took an active interest in science policy and politics and joined the Einstein Postdoctoral Association, the Einstein Senate, and the National Postdoctoral Association. I also started writing articles for several different platforms like naturejobs.com, the Rockefeller Incubator blog, and the Max Planck Alumni Association.
Since March 2017 I’m back in Germany and am now working as an editor for an online platform reporting on all things related to bio-based economy and biotechnology. In my spare time I’m still writing articles for naturejobs.com as well as the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings blog and the German “SciLogs” blog, an offshot of Spektrum.de.
Feel free to browse around and leave me some feedback – have a great day!
